Awww.... [He wanted to keep the penguin... but he guesses Rei's right. Penguins probably need a cold place to live, right? But maybe this penguin is different?

Nagisa peeks around Rei into his room- then peeks on his other side. Then gets on his tiptoes. Move Rei-chan!!!]

_{[ He knows that Nagisa is trying to look around him since he often does this a lot even when Rei stands in front of things to purposely block them. This time, he wasn't doing it on purpose, so he moved out of the way. ]}

It doesn't seem to mind the temperature that is my house, but it's only been here for a few hours. I don't know what to feed it.

Fish, Rei-chan! Penguins eat fish! Probably.

[Nagisa moves into the room, hunkering down a little to make himself a little less intimidating. He holds out his hand for the penguin.]

C'mere~

What kind of fish?! There is no uncooked, live fish around here?!?!?!

_{[ Rei had probably looked in a science book or studied about penguins to know that much, but still! He had nothing in his house for this penguin to eat and he did not know what to do. ]}

....Do you really think that it's going to come out to that? _{[ Honestly, the penguin would probably come to its kin Nagisa before it would Rei. ]}

[And it does! It waddles over to Nagisa, right into his arms. Nagisa chirps in delight. They really are the same species...]

Rei-chan, look! It likes me! Can I name it, please? Pleaaaase?

_{[ Rei can't help but smile because he does have to admit, this interaction is way too cute and this is exactly why he texted him. He knew Nagisa would be overjoyed to see a penguin like this in person, but who knew that it would take to him so quickly? ]}

It does like you. A lot more than it liked me since it would continue making a mess even though I was yelling at it! _{[ Sounds...too familiar... ]}

[Nagisa: successfully ruins these cute, touching moments because for once he is kind of unaware of something.]

I dont' see the resemblance. If anyone, he looks like you---and besides! It's not like he can be my child, you know?! Why the "junior?!"

[He laughs when the penguin starts nuzzling him. It's actually a pretty weighty animal, so it knocks him back a little on his butt.]

I-I know that! I meant it's like you're---augh...Nevermind!

_{[ Nagisa was getting to him with how cute he was being with this penguin, especially when he saw how it knocked him over a little. His first instinct was to reach out and help him in case the animal were to hurt him on accident, but Nagisa seemed to be fine. ]}

...He seems to have calmed down with you here. It's kind of strange.

[Nagisa gives Rei-chan junior some pats on the head. It chirps at him delightedly.

Are they now parents to a penguin? Yes.] Maybe Rei-chan hasn't studied enough on taking care of penguins. Rei-chan, you're slacking.

_{[ Rei blinked for a moment as if he had a realization that Nagisa was totally right. He should have read up about the habits of penguins before he even contacted anyone! He even had a book for it, probably, so he was, in fact, slacking! ]}

You're right, Nagisa-kun! Perhaps you have read up on how to take care of them since I am not suitable for this at the moment?! Please give me approximately 18 hours and I will have memorized this perfect way to do so!

Instead of that- maybe we can do it together? [An almost shy smile- almost. He quickly disguises it with a big grin, another laugh as Rei-chan junior nuzzles into him.

They're like parents... and this is their child.]

_{[ Rei actually looked surprised since that meant that Nagisa wanted to read up on penguins with him and well....it was a hassle to get him to even study sometimes. ]}

_{[ The penguin did seem to be calming down and liking Nagisa more than it did Rei, so maybe this was the perfect time to be reading up on stuff like that. ]}

[Nagisa carefully stands up, laughing as the penguin sticks close to his leg.]

How do you know if he's hungry? We haven't gotten that far in the lesson yet!

_{[ He doesn't want two penguins in the room throwing a tantrum because they're both bored and hungry, alright? He was at least grabbing a book so that he could read to them both when they were ready. ]}

I'm sure he'll like it! [And then they'll both be asleep in 5 seconds...perfect.] Come on, Rei-chan! Let's do it!

_{[ Just be lucky he's not reading the table of contents. Rei did start to read the introduction to penguins, probably just saying the basics about them that everyone already knew. ]}

[Luckily...Nagisa loves penguins so much he's actually listening quite dutifully. He gasps whenever he learns something new.]

_{[ God...GOD....Why is he so cute?!?!?! Rei finds himself focusing on Nagisa's cute reactions as opposed to what he was reading, making him stumble over his words quite a bit. The penguin seemed to notice something was up and probably started to move or make noises or something. That made him paused where he was reading and sigh. ]}

I don't think he wants us to sing with him. Plus, I do not excel in the musical fields!
