[Nagisa: successfully ruins these cute, touching moments because for once he is kind of unaware of something.]

He kind of looks like you! See-? [He pokes the penguin's cheek.]

_{[ Rei had never looked so done in his entire life, though that seems to happen often with Nagisa around, saying things like this. ]}

I dont' see the resemblance. If anyone, he looks like you---and besides! It's not like he can be my child, you know?! Why the "junior?!"

Because you're the original Rei-chan, duh!

[He laughs when the penguin starts nuzzling him. It's actually a pretty weighty animal, so it knocks him back a little on his butt.]

I-I know that! I meant it's like you're---augh...Nevermind!

_{[ Nagisa was getting to him with how cute he was being with this penguin, especially when he saw how it knocked him over a little. His first instinct was to reach out and help him in case the animal were to hurt him on accident, but Nagisa seemed to be fine. ]}

...He seems to have calmed down with you here. It's kind of strange.

[Nagisa gives Rei-chan junior some pats on the head. It chirps at him delightedly.

Are they now parents to a penguin? Yes.] Maybe Rei-chan hasn't studied enough on taking care of penguins. Rei-chan, you're slacking.

_{[ Rei blinked for a moment as if he had a realization that Nagisa was totally right. He should have read up about the habits of penguins before he even contacted anyone! He even had a book for it, probably, so he was, in fact, slacking! ]}

You're right, Nagisa-kun! Perhaps you have read up on how to take care of them since I am not suitable for this at the moment?! Please give me approximately 18 hours and I will have memorized this perfect way to do so!

Instead of that- maybe we can do it together? [An almost shy smile- almost. He quickly disguises it with a big grin, another laugh as Rei-chan junior nuzzles into him.

They're like parents... and this is their child.]

_{[ Rei actually looked surprised since that meant that Nagisa wanted to read up on penguins with him and well....it was a hassle to get him to even study sometimes. ]}

_{[ The penguin did seem to be calming down and liking Nagisa more than it did Rei, so maybe this was the perfect time to be reading up on stuff like that. ]}

...Shouldn't we make Rei-chan junior--I mean, it....some food?

Let's do both- we can read up on what penguins like most, and then we can prepare some for him! How's that, Rei-chan?

[Nagisa carefully stands up, laughing as the penguin sticks close to his leg.]

Won't he be hungry before then? I must memorize everything properly and know how to take care of a penguin before I can make it food!

I think we'll be fine, Rei-chan. If he gets hungry, we can stop and feed him after we've learned something.

[Nagisa keeps a hand on the penguin's head, giving it a few head rubs.]

How do you know if he's hungry? We haven't gotten that far in the lesson yet!

Read aloud? Are you sure that Rei-chan junior would like that?

_{[ He doesn't want two penguins in the room throwing a tantrum because they're both bored and hungry, alright? He was at least grabbing a book so that he could read to them both when they were ready. ]}

I'm sure he'll like it! [And then they'll both be asleep in 5 seconds...perfect.] Come on, Rei-chan! Let's do it!

I suppose we will just have to see. Alright, I'll start with chapter one in this book.

_{[ Just be lucky he's not reading the table of contents. Rei did start to read the introduction to penguins, probably just saying the basics about them that everyone already knew. ]}

[Luckily...Nagisa loves penguins so much he's actually listening quite dutifully. He gasps whenever he learns something new.]

_{[ God...GOD....Why is he so cute?!?!?! Rei finds himself focusing on Nagisa's cute reactions as opposed to what he was reading, making him stumble over his words quite a bit. The penguin seemed to notice something was up and probably started to move or make noises or something. That made him paused where he was reading and sigh. ]}

[Nagisa listens to the penguin chirp some more.] I don't know- maybe it just wants to sing to us? Let's sing with him!

I don't think he wants us to sing with him. Plus, I do not excel in the musical fields!

Aww... come on, Rei-chan... We have to as his parents...

We have to sing together! Otherwise he might get nervous and think we're fighting! Isn't that right-- Boris-chan? [Totally changed the penguin's name... is it better or worse?]

"Boris-chan"?!!! I thought its name was---augh...Nevermind. We aren't fighting, and I don't see why you can't just be the one singing---I think he will not enjoy my singing anyway.

Well, what if I want to sing with Rei-chan? [A pure, bright smile. There is no winning when Nagisa Hazuki is your opponent.]
